Brian found this nest filled with pretty eggs on top of a door to a house he was working on. The mother was nearby watching closely and as soon as he left, she flew over to her nest.
Brian wasn’t sure what kind of bird she was and he couldn’t tell by the eggs. Does anyone know what kind of bird lays eggs like these?
Brian and I were in Snow Hill, Maryland the other day and I found the little town quiet, peaceful and lovely.

I was walking in historic Ellicott City and spotted this adorable bird. He/she looked happy perching on this old red door and watching people walk by.
Brian took this shot of one of the many polydactyl (six-toed) cats living at the Hemingway House in Key West.
We found this in an antique farm auction over the weekend. I was immediately attracted to the color and sad, rusted state it was in. I’m sure it had a vibrant, good life once but, in the end, was probably purchased for parts.
As we were driving through a neighborhood in Key West, this guy caught our eye. He has a lovely house–I wonder if he owns or rents
