Al Capone’s Cell

Al Capone served 8 months at Eastern State Penitentiary for carrying a concealed deadly weapon. The area where his cell was housed was referred to as “Park Avenue.” In 2002, his cell was recreated. I took these snapshots while touring the famous prison.

For a prison cell, looks pretty comfy to me.

  1. This is NOT what I was expecting from Al Capone’s cell… wow, eh? Must have had some real clout among the fellow inmates and, I’d imagine, the guards!
