Al Capone’s Cell

Al Capone served 8 months at Eastern State Penitentiary for carrying a concealed deadly weapon. The area where his cell was housed was referred to as “Park Avenue.” In 2002, his cell was recreated. I took these snapshots while touring the famous prison.

For a prison cell, looks pretty comfy to me.

Eastern State Penitentiary

I visited Philadelphia for the first time last December. I loved the patriotic people, the history and beauty of the city. This is a shot of the inside of Eastern State Penitentiary, a prison that opened in 1829 and closed in 1971. It is now a historic site and is hauntingly beautiful to walk through.
